Release Confidence

Privacy notice · Version 2026-07-25

Start a brief

Your brief is for a response—not a mailing list.

This notice explains what happens to personal information submitted through the Release Confidence qualification brief.

Who is responsible

Rudi Haarhoff, trading as Release Confidence, Johannesburg, South Africa, is responsible for this processing. Privacy requests can be sent to [email protected]. A physical address for formal notices will be supplied through that contact channel.

What is collected

The brief asks for your name, work contact details, organization and role, the service you are considering, the decision and timing, the target system or workflow, likely business impact, likely integration targets, the person or role that can authorize access, access readiness, relevant constraints, and your response preference. A source path and referring website host may also be recorded to understand how the request arrived. Cloudflare Turnstile processes limited network, browser, and challenge signals to detect form abuse; those raw signals are not added to the lead record.

Why it is used

The information is used only to assess fit, respond to the request, prevent obvious form abuse, prepare a scope or proposal, and—if you choose to proceed—administer the resulting client relationship and required business records. The brief is not used for automated decision-making or to add you to a general marketing list.

Anonymous website analytics

When analytics is enabled, the site uses the EU-hosted PostHog service in cookieless mode to understand anonymous page visits, which service brief was selected, where its link appeared, and whether submission started, succeeded, or failed. Brief answers, contact details, session recordings, automatically captured page interactions, heatmaps, and browser console content are not sent to PostHog. The site also respects supported browser Do Not Track signals.

Your choice

Supplying a brief is voluntary and does not create a contract or payment obligation. The required fields are needed to assess and answer the request; without them, Release Confidence may not be able to provide a useful response. Do not submit credentials, source code, customer data, or sensitive evidence through the form.

Who may process it

Access is limited to Rudi and service providers needed to host the website, database, authentication, and email communication, plus professional advisers or authorities where lawfully required. Some providers may process information outside South Africa; their contractual and technical safeguards are used to protect it. Lead information is not sold.

Retention and security

An enquiry that does not become an engagement is normally retained for no more than 12 months after submission or the last meaningful contact, unless an earlier deletion request or a legal reason changes that period. If an engagement begins, proposal, contract, invoice, payment, and delivery records may be retained for the applicable legal and operational periods. Lead records are not publicly readable and access is restricted to an authenticated staff account.

Your rights

You may ask what personal information is held, request correction or deletion where applicable, or object to processing by emailing [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with South Africa's Information Regulator through its official complaints service.
